Free Healthcare for Foreigners

‍

According to an article published by the Antalya Governorship in 2019, there are a total of 16 state hospitals (free) in the city. We believe that this number is over 20 today.
‍

‍

International Protection Applicants/Owners/Stateless Persons: They are considered to have general health insurance and benefit from health services free of charge.

‍

Foreigners under Temporary Protection (Syrians): They can apply to university hospitals with referral except in emergencies, and benefit from other health services free of charge.

‍

Iraqis Coming to Turkey After May 1, 2014: Those determined by the Ministry of Interior can receive free health services, but treatment in university hospitals is subject to a fee.

‍

Human Trafficking Victims: Those who cannot cover health service expenses can receive free health services.

‍

Patients Coming from the Balkans and Turkic Republics: Treatment of patients deemed appropriate by the Ministry of Health, TIKA or the Prime Ministry is covered by the institution that referred the patient.

Important Note!

Some of the people who can receive free health services can apply to university hospitals with a referral, except for emergencies. Foreigners who have a residence permit and work in an insured job can benefit from free health services even if they have been in Turkey for less than 1 year.
