Hey everyone!

Antalya, Turkey is home to some seriously beautiful waterfalls.  We've put together a list of the 10 most popular ones – everything from the famous Lower Duden, which spills right into the sea, to some tucked-away gems like Gelin & Gokbuvet Waterfalls and the Sapadere Canyon.

It's also known as Karpuzkaldıran Waterfalls. It flows to the sea over the cliffs as an arm of Düden Waterfalls. Therefore, it's named as Düden Coastal Waterfall or Lower Düden Waterfall. It's among the symbolic natural beauties of Antalya. This waterfall is 40-meter high. Waterfalls can be observed from Düdenpark as well as from the sea by taking a boat tour from the Marina. Various rainbows are formed on the sea surface as water drops are hung above the sea.

Upper Duden Waterfall

Düden Waterfall, located approximately 10 km from Antalya city center, splits into two branches along the Düden River. The Lower Düden (or Karpuz Waterfall) branch, which is approximately 7 km from Antalya, and the Upper Düden Waterfall, which is 1 km from Varsak.

The cave behind the Waterfall, which gives life wherever its water passes, takes you to a dream world. From the cavities of this cave, you perceive Düden Waterfall in a completely different way and forget your daily fatigue. The cave then turns in the form of an arc to both sides of the waterfall. There is no other beautiful place in Turkey where you can watch a waterfall from behind while it flows with a roar.

Düden Waterfall, which is crowded with tourists from all over the world who come to visit, has shops where you can buy small souvenirs, restaurants, an entertainment center and a small zoo. It is very easy to reach Duden Waterfalls, a popular tourist spot, from the city center. You can reach it by taking Varsak buses or minibuses.

The Manavgat Waterfall

Manavgat Waterfall, a stunning natural wonder, is one of the most renowned in our country. Originating in the Sorgun region on the eastern slopes of the Taurus Mountains, the waterfall cascades towards the Mediterranean Sea, fed by underground springs. The Manavgat River, which feeds the falls, stretches for 92 kilometers and boasts a substantial flow, making it ideal for thrilling water sports such as canoeing and rafting.

The river's banks are adorned with a diverse array of trees, including willows, sycamores, poplars, mulberries, and black trees, creating a lush, verdant landscape. The region is also home to a rich variety of wildlife, with its waters teeming with fish like trout, carp, and gray mullet. The skies above are filled with the graceful flight of birds such as marsh hens, ducks, geese, kingfishers, herons, and seagulls.

Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the waterfall and its surroundings at various restaurants and cafes located nearby. A modest entrance fee allows access to this natural treasure.

The Kursunlu Waterfall

Located 20 kilometers from Antalya's center in the Aksu district, Kurşunlu Waterfall was designated a natural park in 1986. Its harmonious blend of blue and green attracts thousands of visitors each year. The waterfall's natural beauty, coupled with its rich flora and fauna, has transformed the region into a popular destination for ecotourism activities like nature hiking and wildlife observation.

Visitors can spot various creatures, including rabbits, squirrels, woodpeckers, turtles, and other small animals while exploring the park's trails. The park's fresh air and stunning views offer a perfect setting for daily picnics and relaxation. Amenities such as observation terraces, playgrounds, parking, and restaurants cater to visitors' needs.

Ekşili Golet (Kocacay) Waterfalls

Ekşili Golet (Kocacay) is about 40 km from Antalya city center. It is a great resting area to enjoy nature. There are many options such as hiking, camping, fishing or a short canoe trip on the lake with the waterfall view.

Vehicles can reach the pond from the stabilized road. Visitors can also walk and enjoy the road if they park their cars in a suitable place.

Serik Ucansu Waterfall

Uçansu Waterfall, which cascades down approximately 50 meters from the Taurus Mountains, attracts thousands of tourists every year. It is the source of the Alara River, famous for its rafting parkour. Uçansu Waterfall has a glamorous look after the snows on Akdağ and Geyik Mountains melt between March and June. Even in hot summer days, the temperature of this flowing water does not exceed 15 degrees. In late summer and autumn, the water level of this waterfall is decreasing.

This region was declared a first-degree natural protected area in 1992.

Sapadere Canyon Waterfall

Sapadere Canyon is one of Antalya's hidden gems. This canyon, measuring 750 meters in length and 400 meters in height, boasts extraordinary natural beauty. You can explore the canyon along a steel walking path. At the entrance, you'll find a car park, artificial lakes, restaurants, picnic areas, and souvenir shops. The path leads to a small waterfall and a natural pond at the source of the Sapadere River. This icy water, even in summer, originates from melting snow in the Taurus Mountains.

In nearby Sapadere Village, you can also tour a watermill and silk weaving workshop, and savor delicious trout from the river.

Geyikbayiri Waterfall

This beautiful little waterfall, located at the starting point of the Lycian Way in the Geyikbayırı neighborhood, 25 km from Antalya city center, flows quite strongly in early June.

If you are wondering how to get there;

To reach this waterfall, which is approximately 25 km from Antalya city center, you should turn right after passing Çakırlar Social Market and follow the Feslikan sign. After approximately 7-8 km, you will see the LIKA WAY STARTING POINT sign on your left. Turn left from this point and follow the dirt road down. After passing the camping areas at the starting point of the Lycian Way, you will reach the stream bed flowing in the middle of the road. We recommend that you cross carefully as the water level is low. After passing the stream bed, you will hear the sound of this uniquely beautiful waterfall on your left and see it.

Gelin & Gokbuvet Waterfalls

Gelin Waterfall is a very secret spot deep in the valley. Etler Waterfall is above this waterfall. 500 meters away there is a very large natural pool. This place is called Gökbüvet. There is also a small cave on the edge of the pool. Water drips from the top of the cave into the pool and creates a view worth seeing. There is also a small waterfall on the natural pool. It is completely secret, a very beautiful area in the heart of nature.

Zeytintaşı Cave is a karstic cave located within the borders of Akbaş Village, Serik district, Antalya province. The cave is surrounded by impermeable layers on the sides and bottom. It developed in the direction of the fault line on Jurassic-Crataceous limestone rocks.
