The locals of Finike named this place "Cavernous Bay '' because it was discovered in 2017, despite being passed by thousands along the highway for years. Now it has become a place where you can enjoy swimming in crystal clear water, with a view of the magnificent cave above. It's definitely worth a visit and is still not too crowded thanks to its hidden location. Make sure to bring your underwater camera for some unique shots! Boats often visit the bay as well, sometimes obstructing the view by parking in front of the cave. That's why, visiting before the summer crowds arrive could be the best choice. Btw, entry to Finike Cave Bay is entirely free! You can visit the nearby Lmyra Ancient City, Santa Claus Church, Andrieke Ancient City and all the bays of Finike and Demre.
Our second pick offers a relaxation among historical ruins dating to 690 BC. It is called Phaselis Beach because it is located on the coast of the Ancient City of Phaselis, located at the foot of Tahtalı Mountain. The water here is waveless, sandy and shallow. The beach is in touch with nature, away from the city, it is just calm and peaceful. You can reach the beach by car or take a boat trip. Don't forget to bring your snorkeling gear! There is an entrance fee to the beach and it is ideal for a day's rest. You can choose to explore the surrounding area; Chimera Yanartaş, Olympos Ancient City or even go on a cable car ride to the top of Tahtalı Mountain.
"Cleopatra was more than a queen; she was a force of nature"
It is rumored, the last Hellenistic queen of ancient Egypt Cleopatra visited this beach in Alanya and swam, and that's why it was named Cleopatra. They even say that Cleopatra had a tunnel to go down to the beach. The famous Cleopatra Beach, which has a length of 2 kilometers, starts from the end of Damlataş Beach in the west of the place known as the historical peninsula of Alanya. Cleopatra Beach, in addition to having golden sands, the beauty of its sea and the attractiveness of its coast are effective in making this a special beach. The sea is shallow up to 8-10 meters and this beach is only one of the Blue Flag beaches. Since it has a shallow sea, it is very safe, especially for small children. Don't forget to visit the Alanya Castle, Damlatas Cave, Red Tower or enjoy the stunning sunset at Sapadere Canyon after a day at this royal retreat.
Welcome to Konyaaltı Beach!
Well.. actually this spot is more than just a beach; it's the heart of Antalya's coastal living. Whether you stroll from the historic streets of Kaleici to the sunny shores, or get captivated by Konyaaltı's lively nightlife 💫, there's a sense of magic in the air. Most of the locals prefer Konyaalti Beach over Lara Beach because of its more relaxed atmosphere and less crowded environment as well as its both city and mountain perspective.
On a summer day, after 5pm you will see families spread out picnic blankets together with their tea pots (ofc!) while tourists create a circle around a bonfire and enjoy the stunning views of the sunset. Konyaalti beach at night is perfect for a romantic dinner by the sea, with twinkling lights and music creating a delightful atmosphere. The beach also offers various water sports activities, making it a must-visit for adventure seekers. And let's not forget the breathtaking view of the Beydağları mountains that provide a stunning backdrop to Konyaaltı Beach. It's no wonder why this beach is a popular spot for both tourists and locals alike.
"Olympus, where the gods are near and mortals far away." - Euripides, Hippolytus
Olympos Beach has been a protected area since 1972 and still has untouched parts. The beach, which is connected to the village of Olympos in Kumluca district, has sandy beaches, ancient city ruins, tree houses, and a high rate of oxygen due to its location within a national park. There are also various activities you can do here such as diving among the ancient ruins, kayaking through Olympos Bay, and hiking along the Lycian Way.
The best way to explore Olympos beach is by staying in one of the cozy tree houses or bungalows nearby and waking up to the sound of waves crashing against the shore. It's a truly magical experience that shouldn't be missed! The beach is approximately 28 kilometers west of Kemer and 40 minutes away from the town of Kumluca so we would recommend renting a car to fully explore this hidden gem if you don't have one.
A very special one.. The beach stands out with its fine yellow sand and water depth that gradually increases, setting it apart from most beaches in Antalya. İncekum Plajı (Avsallar) is a Blue Flag beach, which means it has been recognized for its cleanliness and safety. Tourists often come here to enjoy the sun, swim in the crystal clear waters, and relax on the soft sandy beach. Another uniqueness of the beach apart from others is its amazing underwater environment. The shallow waters make it perfect for snorkeling and discovering a variety of colorful fish species and underwater plants. Btw, Incekum Beach has free parking, paid sun loungers and umbrellas, and a free public beach section. There is an eating and drinking area, shower, changing cabin and toilet on the beach.
Patara mean 'sea turtle' in Lycian, and is also the name of one of Turkey's most beautiful beaches where the majestic Caretta Caretta turtles tread delicately, leaving behind trails of hope for future generations. The dance of the dunes at Patara Sand Dunes (Patara Kum Tepeleri in Turkish) is a real-life open-air museum that calls you to explore, feeling the breath of history with every step on the fine sand. Patara Beach located on a beautiful, one of the longest beaches in Turkey is truly a gem of this region.
Tersane Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Alanya, is a small beach. However, since it is very central, it is also very easy to get to the beach. Tersane Beach, which can be easily reached on public transportation lines within the city, offers the chance to swim in a historical environment, surrounded by Kızılkule and Alanya Castle. Daily boat tours of Alanya generally stop in the most beautiful areas, and one of the most visited addresses of the tours is Tersane Beach. The place, which provides service in the concept of a free public beach, is a place where sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented. However, for those who are uncomfortable with the rocky ground, sea shoes can be rented.
Be ready! because the only way to reach the beach is by walking down a set of stairs. Kaputaş Beach is also known as "the staircase to heaven" because of this unique entrance. Visitors can rent sun loungers and umbrellas or bring their own, but we recommend bringing plenty of water and snacks as there are no facilities on the beach. Please remember that the beach can be quite crowded during peak season, so we recommend arriving early in the morning to secure a spot. There are also many dining options and beach clubs available in the nearby town of Kaş. We believe that Kaputaş Beach is the most romantic Antalya beach where couples can have a great time together.
Concluding our list with Adrasan Bay, located in the Kumluca region. In fact, this is not a bay that is well known or visited by tourists , making it a hidden gem that is perfect for those seeking a quiet and peaceful beach experience. The bay offers two different beaches; one with pebbles and another with soft golden sand. There are also restaurants and cafes along the shore where you can enjoy delicious seafood dishes while admiring the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.
